Who We Are

The B’Moor Nourished Free Pantry is a volunteer-run weekly free store hosted at Brightmoor Artisans Collective in partnership with Metro Food Rescue, Food Rescue US, and other local partners.

Businesses interested in donating food are encouraged to contact our program partner, Metro Food Rescue and request delivery to Brightmoor Artisans Collective.

What Makes Us Unique?

B’Moor Nourished is a BAC community program founded on the principles of Trust, Dignity, and Choice. We believe that the experience each person has at our pantry is as important as the food they take home. Each week, our volunteers and partners work together to fill the gaps in our neighbor’s groceries while ensuring each person ‘shopping’ has a dignified and non-invasive experience— Here is what that looks like in practice!

How It Works

We do not require ID or registration.

This means you will not be carded when you arrive and you do not need to provide personal information or register your household. Attendees may pick up for other households but must notify the pantry staff prior to entry so that we know how many households we serve. We will not require you to trade your information for access to the pantry— it is free and open to the public because your dignity matters.

Bring Your Own Bag!

We do not pre-select or pre-bag groceries; participants get to decide what they take home. Empty bags or boxes are limited so attendees are encouraged to bring their own reusable bags.

All items are available first come, first choice.

This is a community free store, so you choose what you want to take. What is available to those who arrive early is not the same quantity or selection for those who arrive late. We trust that each person is best able to determine what their household requires while considering the needs of others.

You can send a friend.

This pantry is staffed by volunteers and we are not able to make deliveries. If you need food you are welcome to send a friend, family member, or neighbor to pick up for you— Just tell the door attendee how many households they are picking up for when they enter.
