The Brightmoor Artisans Collective is excited to announce our new summer workshop series: Cultivate Brightmoor – a hands-on, intergenerational program designed to connect youth, families, and neighbors with food, wellness, and entrepreneurship skills right here in our community. This series is funded by the Brightmoor Teen Philanthropy Council in partnership with the Fisher Foundation.

Join Leslie Young, a dedicated health advocate and wellness coach from Plant Powered Body, for an engaging workshop focused on heart health and managing blood pressure naturally. Leslie will share practical tips, dietary strategies, and lifestyle changes to support heart health, emphasizing her strong commitment to eating more whole plant foods. Participants will also enjoy a cooking demonstration featuring one of Leslie’s famous and delicious dishes packed with heart-healthy ingredients. This workshop is designed to empower attendees with actionable steps for a healthier heart and improved well-being.

Leslie Young is a seasoned health and wellness advocate specializing in holistic health practices. With a personal journey overcoming health challenges, Leslie brings a unique perspective and practical insights to her workshops. Her interactive approach makes learning about health fun and accessible for all participants. Join us on the final Friday of each month at 2 PM for a community-centered session focused on holistic health and everyday wellness practices. These workshops are open to all and designed to support your journey toward feeling nourished—mind, body, and spirit.

You're invited to the 4th Annual Brightmoor Harvest Festival on Friday, October 4th from 1–5 PM at the Brightmoor Artisans Collective (22635 Fenkell Ave)! Celebrate the season with a fun-filled day for the whole family featuring a bounce house, free food, a festive hay ride through the neighborhood, artisan vendors, community resources, giveaways, and more. Come connect with neighbors, support local makers, and enjoy fall-themed activities that highlight the heart of Brightmoor. This event is proudly presented in partnership with the MSU Ext. DPFLI, Neighbors Building Brightmoor, and other amazing community organizations. Don’t miss it!
